Built for precision.
Not hype.
Refraxis builds AI systems for the regulated Canadian industries that need them most — but have been underserved by tools that aren't designed for their compliance requirements.
Why I started Refraxis
I noticed something while researching Canadian regulated industries: accounting firms, municipalities, law practices, and crown corporations were dealing with genuinely painful document workflows — and nobody had built AI tools that actually fit their specific requirements.
The problem isn't that AI can't help. It's that most AI tools send data to US servers, don't understand Canadian compliance requirements like PIPEDA and MFIPPA, and are built as demos rather than production systems.
Refraxis exists to close that gap. Every system I build runs on Canadian cloud infrastructure, is engineered to production standard, and is built to actually work in the environments my clients operate in.

I am building Refraxis because the most interesting AI problems right now aren't in tech — they're in the industries that haven't been touched yet.
I care more about whether a system works in production than whether it looks impressive in a demo. That's the standard I build to.
The principles behind every engagement
Production standard is the baseline
Logging, error handling, retry logic, eval frameworks, and documented architecture are included in every engagement — not optional extras.
Canadian data residency by default
Every system deploys to Canadian cloud infrastructure. Client data never leaves Canada. No exceptions.
Specific scopes, specific outcomes
Every engagement is governed by a detailed scope of work that defines exactly what is being built, what done looks like, and what is explicitly excluded.
AI augments — it does not replace
Every system is built with appropriate human oversight in the workflow. The goal is to remove the tedious parts, not the judgment.
